| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of the present study was to determine the effect of physical fitness training on the football player skill performance of Mulo woreda. To achieve the purpose, Quasi- Experimental design was used. 40 male football players of Mulo woreda were taken purposively as a sample study. Experimental group (n=20) performed physical fitness training three days per week for a 3-month to squat jump, Bounding speed and Illinois agility drill. However, (n=20) control group did not performed this selected fitness training, both groups undergone normal football training program. And both groups had taken pre and post-tests. So, all subjects participated in 3 selected football skill performance tests: figure-8 dribbling, speed dribbling and power shoot. The data were analyzed and compared with the help of statistical procedures in which arithmetic mean, standard deviation and paired t test were used. The level of p≤0.05 considered as significant level. The results of the study showed that the physical fitness training for twelve weeks is more effective in increasing the dribbling and shooting skills of football players of Mulo woreda.Generally, the present study concluded that physical fitness training had a significant effect on football skill performance through the selected football skill tests.
