Abstract:
The academic staff at Haramaya University College of Health and Medical Science, which is located 
inside Harari Regional State, is the subject of this study, which investigates the impact of training on 
performance. The major objective is to determine how training affects the performance of the academic 
staff at Haramaya University's college of health and medical sciences. The explanatory research 
methodology employing a survey was utilized in this study to enable the researcher to effectively pick up 
knowledge on the subject. A structured, close-ended survey with a 5-point Likert scale was received to 
induce data from the respondents. An add-up to 221 duplicates of the questionnaire were randomly 
administered employing a stratified random sampling procedure over the college. Ordinary Least Square 
(O.L.S) method of regression and ANOVA methods of analysis were utilized in analyzing the comes about 
with the results with the help of SPSS computer bundle. This study concludes that the design of training 
programs and training conveyance style influence the outcomes of training programs and ultimately the 
performance of the academic-staff. Subsequently, the researcher recommended that the college see 
training objectives, design, delivery methods, implementation and evaluation as a nonstop process for 
academic staff improvement, organizational survival and effective performance
