| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of coffee drinking on cardiovascular en durance agility and reaction time of Babile high school grade 12 male students. Well trained endurance students who had habit of coffee drinking, free from any health problem, around in Babile town volunteered were included in the study. Subjects were instructed to be free from taking any nutritional supplements or other ergogenic aids for week preceding the test. This study used pretest during the 6the week posttest research design and Forty (40) physically active subjects (40 male; age between 18 – 19), were selected by purposive sampling tech nique from Babile high school grade 12the male students. Each subject was tested at the same time of day, and there were 1 week separating trials. During the first trial, participants were not drinking coffee and the test for reaction time (Metric ruler drop test) was conducted as soon as they arrived to gymnasium, the test result was recorded and Vo2 max test were fol lowed. On the second test day coffee was prepared by weighing out 60 g of coffee ground with 600 ml of water using a boiling coffee brewer method and post test taken an hour after the subjects drinking the prepared coffee.The data were analyzed by SPSS version 20.The comparison of m ean was carried out by paired T-test. The level of significance was 0.05.The result of present study showed significance (P 0.05) improvement inVo2 max (MD -5.75) for male, Hexagonal obstacle test (MD-1.5) formale, metric ruler drop test (MD -5.5) for male.The result obtained I n this study indicated thatwere significant change in cardiovascu lar endurance, agility and reaction time for both groups there was no more significance im provement observed for control group.Based on this finding, it can be concluded that regular exercise has positive effect of coffee drinking on cardiovascular endurance,agility and reac tion time Babile high schoolgrade 12the male students. | en_US |
