Abstract:
Cheshire Services Ethiopia has two operational objectives: Physical rehabilitation and 
community-based rehabilitation in all its areas of intervention cites. This study focuses on 
how physical rehabilitation support makes a difference in the income of individual with 
disability. This topic is crucial in a sense that the organization will systematically organize 
its operation and intensify its services in all other areas, especially in the other outreach 
locations. The study is about to look how physical rehabilitation support becomes impactful 
on the lives of persons with disabilities. The methodology of this research entails the 
selecting of one site among the existing three clusters (i.e., Menagesha) with random 
sampling method 198 samples were selected from the locations. Then using propensity score 
matching was used to look at the effect of the difference between the treated and control 
group with the application of physical rehabilitation. On the results/findings of the study, It 
is obtained how physical rehabilitation impacted the change on individual income with the 
treatment under consideration. PSM method found that rehabilitation intervention brought 
a significant impact on the income of the persons with disability (13640.2747 of annual 
income change). Attention should be given to improve respondent income by further 
investment on different social basic services like access to education and health services at 
nearer distances to individuals, Cheshire Services Ethiopia should have to give emphasis for 
infrastructural development of the area and other intervention sites in collaboration with 
governmental and non-governmental actors since it affects individuals in different income 
and also has an implication towards accessibility, improving access to modern 
rehabilitation devices (or improving to the emerging would enhance individuals’ livelihood 
in terms of income, attention should be given to improve respondents’ livelihoods by further 
investment on different social basic services like access to education and technical 
assistance services at nearer distances to individual with disability. Moreover, attention 
should be given in providing education and other basic training for younger PWDs 
respondents in order to improve mobility of disabled persons
